When to apply
Checked Sep 9, 2026: the Medical Surgical 2E posting closed early (their page says "due to an overwhelming response"). Any new unit openings will be posted on their page through September 11, 2026, and the next cohort starts February 22, 2027. October 2026 cohort: applications accepted August 24 to September 11, 2026. Units post at various times during the window, not all on day one, so check the posting page throughout, not just at open.
Cohort schedule
Program starts four times per year; clinical orientation starts monthly. October 2026 cohort begins October 26, 2026.
Requirements
California RN license (may apply with an NCLEX date scheduled; license verified at offer); BSN or MSN preferred; AHA BLS. Resume with clinical hours and one letter of recommendation required; cover letter optional but advised.
